At CES 2023, Samsung unveiled The Premiere, an 8K Ultra-Short Throw (UST) projector that is an upgrade from the 4K version released in 2020. Unlike traditional projectors, UST models can project a large image from a close distance to the wall
The Premiere 8K projector from Samsung boasts an 8K resolution, making it one of a select few models that can project at that high of a resolution. It is also capable of projecting an image up to 150 inches diagonally, making it the first 8K projector with this capability. In addition to its impressive visual capabilities, The Premiere 8K also features in-built speakers with Dolby Atmos technology and runs on the Tizen operating system, which includes a range of smart features such as AirPlay, Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant, Q-Symphony, SmartThings, Samsung Health, Samsung Gaming Hub, Tap View, and more.
Unfortunately, Samsung has not yet disclosed any further information about The Premiere 8K, including its price or availability. However, it is common for Samsung’s audio and video products that are announced at CES to be released in the spring or summer, so it is likely that The Premiere 8K will be available in the second quarter of 2023.
It is currently unknown how much The Premiere 8K will cost, but it is likely to be more expensive than the 4K version, which has a price tag of $6,499. Other 8K projectors on the market start at around $11,000, so The Premiere 8K could potentially be priced in that range. While this would be a significant investment, it is worth noting that The Premiere 8K is a unique and advanced product.
